This elegant, gold filled, serpentine brooch is from a French company called Fix which was founded in 1823. This magnificent beauty has a stone resembling garnet and is in excellent condition considering its 120+ years of existence! It is stamped with the "FIX" mark as well as a hallmarks which I cannot decipher. In my research Fix pieces are often made of a layer of copper sandwiched between two thick layers of 18k gold. Personally I don't have a metal testing kit so I cannot say for sure how many karats it is. It measures 3 x 2 cm. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions!

How long will it take for my package to arrive?

Orders are typically shipped within 3 business days. If for some reason the delay will be longer, you will be informed. Once it's on its way, it normally takes 3 to 15 business days to arrive, depending on your location.

How is the cost of shipping determined?

The price of shipping in France is determined by the weight and thickness of the package. The heavier it is, the more it costs. If the package is under 3 centimetres it can be considered a "letter" and will be cheaper, but if it's over 4 centimetres it will be considered a package and cost more. I do my very best to stay under 3 cm and keep your shipping cost down but it is not always possible. (I charge the actual cost of shipping plus the percentage of the fees taken by the payment system. I do not take a profit from the shipping cost.)
