These elegant, gold filled, serpentine stick pins are from a French company called Fix which was founded in 1823. They are both stamped with the "FIX" mark as well as illegible hallmarks which probably told the karats. But in my research Fix pieces are often made of a layer of copper sandwiched between two layers of 18k gold.
Personally I don't have a metal testing kit so I cannot say for sure. It appears to me to be an older version of the design with a garnet-looking stone. For some reason I decided to take photos before polishing them so all the bits that look worn are actually dirt which is now gone. And the winter light today is making it difficult for me to take more photos! But it's clean and in good condition. The stick itself shows signs of use but is still sturdy and wearable and comes with an end cap. The snake measures 1 x 1.5 cm and the pin as a whole is 7 cm in length.

I do my very best to stay under 3 cm and keep your shipping cost down but it is not always possible. (I charge the actual cost of shipping plus the percentage of the fees taken by the payment system. I do not take a profit from the shipping cost.)
