1950s Mexican Hand-Painted 3D Skirt

Oh, how I love such rare and fun vintage darlings as this! These 1950s Mexican hand-painted circle skirts are already so joyful, but when you find the once-in-a-blue-moon ones with 3D skirts within a skirt - and colorful little knickers underneath - it's that much more special!

I adore the color scheme on this piece. It's vibrant and colorful but not ostentatious or kitsch.

In my photos I'm not wearing a petticoat under the skirt but if you added one you'd get a much fuller '50s silhouette. 

It's in good vintage condition with a few minor flaws. There are some age spots here and there, the worst shown in photo 9. Of course the skirt is so abundant that these marks aren't perceptible unless you're looking for them. The other flaw, which can actually be easily fixed, is that the seam is a little undone on either side. (It's something I planned on repairing before having an operation on my right-hand index finger! 🙄)

The label is faded but the last image shows the identical label from another piece I found on the butterwebs.

Waist: best for 25 in

Hips: best for up to about 33 in 

Length: 27 in
