This utterly fabulous Lanvin dress comes from Jules-Francois Crahay's 1973 spring/summer collection, as documented in l'Officiel magazine by renowned photographer Roland Bianchini. (See last two photos).
Believe me when I tell you that this piece of fashion history is absolutely marvelous! It may seem like a simple cut but the way it fits and falls is perfection. Thanks to its poly jersey material it's just about impossible to wrinkle, making it a brilliant travel dress. Unpack and wear! And then of course there's the spectacular print: an abstract optical art floral design in shades of blue and peeps of white with eye-popping red accents. 1970s French divinity.
The adjustable tie straps allow for several style options and can help to slightly adjust the length of the dress. See photos 4-7 for styling ideas.
The dress is in excellent condition. The only thing to report is a little bit of stitching undone on the back (photo 11) which impacts nothing at all. Also, it seems like someone may have undone and restitched the straps in the back (photo 12). Otherwise, there are no holes, snags or stains. It is really in superb shape and I don't think it has been worn much.
Labeled French size 46, I think it could work for M to XL. The measurements below are up to a comfortable stretch. It could possibly work for larger measurements but I can't guarantee. Please don't hesitate if you have any questions.
Bust up to 42 in
Waist up to 40 in
Hips up to 46 in
Length approximately 57 in, depending on how the straps are adjusted. Would be very easy to hem to desired length.

How long will it take for my package to arrive?
Orders are typically shipped within 3 business days. If for some reason the delay will be longer, you will be informed. Once it's on its way, it normally takes 3 to 15 business days to arrive, depending on your location.
How is the cost of shipping determined?
The price of shipping in France is determined by the weight and thickness of the package. The heavier it is, the more it costs. If the package is under 3 centimetres it can be considered a "letter" and will be cheaper, but if it's over 4 centimetres it will be considered a package and cost more. I do my very best to stay under 3 cm and keep your shipping cost down but it is not always possible. (I charge the actual cost of shipping plus the percentage of the fees taken by the payment system. I do not take a profit from the shipping cost.)
Will I receive a tracking number?
Every package will come with a tracking number.
How can I see where my package is?
You can enter your tracking number on this site and it will show the status of your package.
