Documented Spring/Summer 1974 Courrèges Dress

This rare and magnificent dress is from the Spring / Summer collection from André Courrèges in 1974. This highly collectible piece is in impeccable condition and isn't tiny either!

This dress is a true conversation piece. It would be such an original and stylish choice for any summer affair, but prepare for compliments galore because you will be sensational!

Made of cotton coated to give it a light lustre, the body of this dress is substantial. It has a weight to it that really makes you feel like you're wearing a high quality garment that was made with care. The neckline and armholes are lined with fabulous silk organza ruffles and finished with a little bow in the front. The dress is fully lined in an incredibly soft white cotton, and has the lovely little detail of having bra strap holders in the shoulder seams. It has a hidden zipper at the front and a hook and eye plus a snap to fasten it under the bow. Believe me when I tell you that this piece is truly beautifully made!

It also has the distinction of being documented, which is not often the case with Courrèges designs. See photo 7 for the original photograph of this exact model!
