Okay, I can't believe I'm selling this. It's everything I love! The serpentine mesh, the clasping hands, the gold on black... It's simply perfect.

This belt/necklace/whatever you want is stamped with the mark of the DL Auld Company. There's quite a bit of confusion surrounding this design. DL Auld started making jewelry in 1870 and by the early 1920s shifted its focus to emblems and ornaments for the automotive industry, ceasing its jewelry production altogether. For this reason, many people sell this mesh hands belt as a true 1900s piece. Personally, I didn't think this was the case so I did some research. Honestly, it's extremely difficult to find any solid information, but someone did say that DL Auld's early designs were licensed for reproduction in the 1970s. This makes much more sense to me. I would say it's a 1970s/80s production of a 1900s Victorian inspired design.

Either way, it is a truly gorgeous and versatile item of jewelry, which can be styled as a belt, necklace, bracelet, or any other way you can apply your imagination! Each hand has a clasp which hooks on to any part of the mesh, making for many possibilities.

The hands are gold and the mesh is black enamel over gold-tone metal. One hand has a tiny rhinestone "ring".

It is in excellent condition. There is absolutely nothing to report.

The total length is 105 cm / 41 in.

Shipping

How long will it take for my package to arrive?

Orders are typically shipped within 3 business days. If for some reason the delay will be longer, you will be informed. Once it's on its way, it normally takes 3 to 15 business days to arrive, depending on your location.

How is the cost of shipping determined?

The price of shipping in France is determined by the weight and thickness of the package. The heavier it is, the more it costs. If the package is under 3 centimetres it can be considered a "letter" and will be cheaper, but if it's over 4 centimetres it will be considered a package and cost more. I do my very best to stay under 3 cm and keep your shipping cost down but it is not always possible. (I charge the actual cost of shipping plus the percentage of the fees taken by the payment system. I do not take a profit from the shipping cost.)

Will I receive a tracking number?

Every package will come with a tracking number.

How can I see where my package is?

You can enter your tracking number on this site and it will show the status of your package.
