1980s Rodier Paris Heart Sweater
I originally purchased this adorable sweater for myself but was disappointed to find that it's simply not my size. So my loss is your gain because this piece is just perfect. If I had kept it I was going to add some tear drop jewels and maybe some felt cut outs to make a Suze-inspired bleeding heart design!
This black knit pullover wears a dark fuschia heart on the left side of the chest. It has a small, elegant collar and sweet mutton-style sleeves with pleats at the shoulders to create a gentle puff. It's a soft-on-the-skin blend of wool and acrylic.
It's in perfect condition and the quality is amazing.
It doesn't have a size label but I'd say it would best suit M, L and even a smaller XL depending on your morphology. (You can see how poorly it fits me as a size S! It will look so much nicer on a proper fit.) Please check out the measurements below and don't hesitate if you have any questions.
Shoulders seam to seam: 16 in / 40 cm
Bust: 38 to 44 in / 96 to 112 cm
Waist: 28 to 36 in / 70 to 92 cm
Sleeves: 22 in / 56 cm
Length: 19 in / 49 cm

If you'd like to know about the label, here's some information from the Vintage Fashion Guild Label Resource:
"Started in 1848 by Eugene Rodier as primarily a textile mill company. They found fame producing their own modern version of the Kashmir shawl for sale locally and abroad. Rodier were keen to develop new textiles, producing senellic - an early spun rayon - and Kasha, a fabric they copyrighted.
Rodier made the knitted jersey found and utilised by Coco Chanel to much acclaim, which saved the company in 1916. During the 1920s and 1930s Rodier produced many different fabrics for Jean Patou and the Rodier family partially financed Patou's expansion during the 1920s. Around this time Rodier also produced interior fabrics designed by people such as Pablo Picasso.
Rodier began selling ready to wear in 1956 with a fine knitwear collection and followed later with other clothing such as coats and accessories. Over the years these were sold exclusively by the brand in a dozen boutiques worldwide until 1995 when Rodier became available in select high end shops and department stores in America.

Shipping
How long will it take for my package to arrive?
Orders are typically shipped within 3 business days. If for some reason the delay will be longer, you will be informed. Once it's on its way, it normally takes 3 to 15 business days to arrive, depending on your location.
How is the cost of shipping determined?
The price of shipping in France is determined by the weight and thickness of the package. The heavier it is, the more it costs. If the package is under 3 centimetres it can be considered a "letter" and will be cheaper, but if it's over 4 centimetres it will be considered a package and cost more. I do my very best to stay under 3 cm and keep your shipping cost down but it is not always possible. (I charge the actual cost of shipping plus the percentage of the fees taken by the payment system. I do not take a profit from the shipping cost.)
Will I receive a tracking number?
Every package will come with a tracking number.
How can I see where my package is?
You can enter your tracking number on this site and it will show the status of your package.
